Youth in Action!

HabiArm Community Youth Group is a youth-oriented team
of volunteers within Habitat For Humanity Armenia.
The group became active since fall 2004 and officially was recognized by Habitat For Humanity International Board of Directors in March 2005. The group members are young professionals and students of various backgrounds, committed to the values and goals of HFH Armenia.
The main actvities of HabiArm are:

...For the FY 2006 the president of HabiArm Meri Poghosyan was selected by the International Board of Directors Europe and Central Asia area to receive the LINDA FULLER AWARD for Exceptional Volunteer Service!
...In November 2006 HabiArm reached its goal of building a house through local fundraising!
...HabiArm has built 2 houses with the tithes of University of Michigan in the last 2 years!
...In January 2007 HabiArm conducted workshops "All Different-All Equal" for the the children of our beneficiary families and their neigborhood.
...In September 2006 HabiArm organized "Learning to Love Nature" educational and hands-on events in Zeytun Orphanage of Yerevan and School of Children with Hearing Impairments.
...In April 2006 HabiArm conducted "Learn Your Rights" Children's Rights Workshops for our beneficiary families.
...In April 2006 HabiArm organized "Act, Build, Speak" campaign in Armenia.
...In December 2005 HabiArm organized integration event "Breaking Walls" for Habitat bebficiary children and children with visual impairments.
...In April 2005 HabiArm organized integration event "Promoting Understanding - Erasing Borders" for Habitat beneficiary children and children with hearing impairments.
